collects? The LICS Food Pantry serves all of Lexington County
and part of Calhoun County.
WHO is eligible for food help? Any
Lexington County individual or family in crisis, that is
struggling to meet their basic food needs.
WHO provides the LICS pantries with
food? You … the Church, Schools, Groups and Businesses through
food collection drives.

How can your Church, School, Group
or Business hold a food drive?
- Select a date. (please consider a low
donation month February, March, April, August, September and
October)
- Notify the LICS Community Relations of
your plans by calling 803-957-6656.
- Designate a Food Drive Coordinator.
- Publicize your food drive! Spread the
word through posters, bulletin boards, email and
newsletters.
- Have a contest. Let one church, class,
team or department compete against another.
- Have an event! Use food for admission,
either pounds or cans with a dollar alternative.
- Have a collection box where food can
be deposited.
- Designate a transportation committee
to deliver the food to the pantry.
