Volunteer Power
Our volunteers are the very heart and soul of the LICS ministry. Approximately
350 volunteers work in our ministry on any given month. We always need more volunteers and welcome volunteers to call to schedule an orientation session. Volunteers work in all aspects of the main center and all outreach centers. Volunteers are necessary for leadership roles of board Members, church liaisons, and committee members. In almost all situations, LICS accommodates the volunteers schedule and wishes for times and dates of volunteerism. In the Ministry area, we have a variety of volunteer positions. They include clerical work, interviewing people seeking assistance, and packing and sorting food, and general office work. Volunteers in the Thrift Shop receive donations and prepare them for the shop. Volunteers greet and help customers, are cashiers, and provide any needed assistance to customers.
